I had this on-tap in a pint glass at the McMenamins Six Arms in Seattle.
Appearance: black with a nice layer of creamy light brown foam. Very attractive.
Smell: mildly roasty with a rather dry character. Good, but quite light.
Taste: rather dry with a high roastiness factor. Kind of like a good dry stout; definitely an interesting porter.
Mouthfeel: medium light body with a good carbonation and a decent creaminess.
Overall: this beer appeals to me despite its simplicity. I feel like I could easily drink a couple of these.
