This stormy, rust-orange brew failed to satisfy. Its taste is mineral laden, almost salty, with an aroma suggestive of bicarbonate. I sense an alien yeast strain at work here or some lactobacillus intrusion courtesy of those open fermenters. The bready malts are encouraging though they are offset by a terse leafiness.
Masons Red grew on me after awhile, but I can't see rushing back for that second pint.
