On tab @ McMenamins Cedar Hills Pub. Slightly hazed honey color with a 1 finger head and very active carbonation. Head dies to a pancake, with minimal lacing.
Smells a little funky. Sweet n' sour, rotting apricots?
Cascade hops are noticable right away once I worked up the courage to taste it, but not overly strong. A little (and I mean very little) bit of typical floral, pine and citus notes. Thin grainy malt backbone forms as it warms up, and I definately detect some adjucts, notably corn. What is that doing in an IPA? Everything seems pretty watered down to me.
Very light body, and too much carbonation for my taste.
I suppose it wasn't terrible, if you just wanted something to help wash down your food. If nothing else, it was pretty drinkable. The ABV wasn't listed, but the server thought it was 4.2% (he wasn't sure, and no one there knew, but that sounds about right). I probably wouldn't turn it down if someone bought me one, but I'm certainly not going to seek it out either.
