This is another fall seasonal marzen from the Oregon brewery. It has a muddy amber /washed out garnet color that’s not amongst the prettiest beers ever served. It has a slight light cream colored head. The nose is dominated by yeasts, German not Belgian, and sweet scented malts. The taste begins with a very light malt sweetness cascading over the palate that you can leave there for a full 6 seconds before the bitterness of the hops finally shows up fashionably late. It has an unfortunately short finish and a somewhat watery mouthfeel. This is of less than average drinkability (due to its not being terribly interesting), though I imagine it would be a good session beer if you were at some kind of autumn festival.

Had on tap..in the imperial pint glass.
Very good looking Oktoberfest, slightly hazy light brown with a small tan head.
For once I have to say this has a nice aroma ( in my experience with McMs the aroma seems always subdued). Very malty and bready..nice.
Very good malty taste to this..its not really sweet but compliments the hops later on.
Not too watery on the palate..very smooth.
Have to say this is probably the best McMenanmins I have had..excellent.
