Draft at White Eagle location. Clear golden pour, one finger fluffy white head. Herbal aroma, green, herbaceous. Taste is herbal, medicinal. Minty, almost.

on tap at their incredible new tacoma spot, wow is this place ever unique! the beers we had here were pretty solid too, some made here, some i believe brought in from other locations they have around the region, not totally sure on that. this is a very good, and quite modern ipa, with a neat mix of hops, a flavorful malt base, and high drinkability if you like this sort of thing, which i certainly do. neither clear nor hazy really, just sort of an unfiltered look to it, a little glow in the glass under its white head, with a pungently hoppy aroma and flavor, herbal, citrus forward, and without much bitterness until the very end. specifically, i get lemon and mandarin orange zest, white tea, ripe peach, heady sativa, and oily pine sap, its really quite dynamic in its hop complexion. a slightly european element to the malt adds some depth, and the ferment is clean and tidy. brightly carbonated, obviously extremely fresh, and overall quite a distinctive and impressive glass of ipa. i do not think these guys get enough credit among the beer nerds, this is true to itself, not beholden to any look, trend, or ingredient, and i dig that.

 

 

 

Nice smooth feel on this somewhat cloudy yellow seasonal. Smooth and full bodied with a focus on melon flavored hops. Well balanced and an easy drinking beer. Cheers
