This was a rotating special and was described by the serve as a hopped up red. Served in a standard pint, the beer is hazy amber with a thick off-white head. It has really nice lacing.
The beer has an aroma of caramel, bagel and some grains. Could be amped up a bit.
The beer has some slightly sweet caramel malts and a bit of citrus based bitterness. Unfortunately, an off taste sneaks in, not sure if its dirty lines or some other flaw in the beer but it distracts from a nice start. The off taste then fades but never completely disappears.
The mouth is crisp and has midlevel heft. Drinkability suffers from that dirty funky thing in the taste.
