Ordered at McMenamins on the Columbia as a season pint pour in a pint glass.
Look: dark brown, almost black with a light tan finger size head that left nice lacing down the glass as we drank.
Smell: sweet, milky and malty with some light roast
Taste, sweet, a little booze in the nose, with a light roast with almost an imperial booziness that hangs mid palate. The backend is sweet, light roast with trailing notes of sweet chocolate (gotta reach, but it’s there)
Feel: medium to full mouthfeel because of the nitro, very small tickle of carbonation, but smooth because of the nitro.
In our defense, first place we have sat to eat in many many months because of COVID. Bren got this because she loves nitro milk stouts. We love McMenamins in the PNW but this one was kind of just EH... for a sweet milk stout, the 8% ABV is too forward for my liking
Cheers everyone!
