Ordered on tap at McMenamins on the Columbia and poured into a pint glass.
Look: dark brown, almost black, somewhat translucent like you would expect a porter to be. Very small light tan head that dissipated quickly but left a nice lacing on the glass as we drank.
Smell: dark roasted malts with an underlying coffee note that is difficult to pick up.
Taste: sweet, but subtle, roast forward with back end super light coffee notes. Since they say this is a coffee porter, the amount of coffee makes this very drinkable on the flavor side. No bitterness and no booze. Hops are on the trailing nose but very subtle
Feel: light but not super light. Nice tickle of carbonation. No dryness to speak of.
Overall this is a drinkable porter with hints of coffee and toast, but a small enough ABV to make it easy to drink. Overall a decent pub porter as a rotating seasonal.
Cheers everyone!
