I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at the McMenamins Six Arms in Seattle.
Appearance: clear medium yellow hue with a thin layer of ivory foam atop and a light lace left on the glass.
Smell: lightly malty with a light fruity character. Low-volume, but nicely composed.
Taste: quite fruity, as the menu suggests. One of the most tropical-forward kölsches I’ve had. Maybe not traditional, but pretty good!
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and actually a quite good creaminess!
Overall: not traditional, perhaps, but a tasty and quenching beer. Very drinkable.
