I had this beer on-tap at the McMenamins in Mill Creek. They bill this as a "traditional Pacific Northwest IPA".
Appearance: medium-dark amber-orange hue with a light haze and a very thin layer of ivory foam. I get that they are trying to fill the glass, but a little foam is okay! Color is nice, though.
Smell: caramelly, bready malt aroma with a pretty minimal amount of hops coming through. It's not too bad.
Taste: biscuity, bready malt, with a citrusy hop character and a fair amount of caramelly sweetness. It's okay, but "biscuity" is not my favorite malt character, especially in an IPA.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and actually a surprisingly good creaminess.
Overall: good texture notwithstanding, this is not really the beer for me.
