Charged with leading the Christmas revelries, the impish Lord of Misrule is ever changing. 2019’s brew is still our tried-and-true Milk Stout, but this year with the aromas of chocolate, caramel and coconut reminiscent of a samoa cookie. Barrel aging in Edgefield Distillery’s whiskey barrels imparts the character and mischief that the Lord is so known for.

Malts: Gambrinus ESB, Munich, Rolled Oats, C150, C160, Pale Chocolate, Chocolate, Black
Hops: Chinook, Golding.

I love these beers, barrel-aged Stouts, Winter Warmers, Strong Scotch Ales, they all have strong complex flavors. This is a very good example of that type of beer. Rated 2019
