Had in a pint glass on-tap at McMenamins in Mill Creek, WA. They billed this as a Cascadian dark ale.
Appearance: deep amber-brown hue, nearing black. Head is a good finger of creamy tan foam. I like it.
Smell: big citrusy hop aroma with some roasty bitterness coming through. Quite nice.
Taste: nice citrusy hops mixed with a caramelly, lightly chocolatey malt. Bitterness is quite smooth. A good representation of the style.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a silky texture and a good carbonation. Nice and creamy; good stuff.
Overall: a tasty and very smooth black ale. I'd definitely have this again.
