On tap at Imbrie Hall. Despite the name, this isn't a traditional ESB (not even close); it's more an American Bitter
A moderately hazy orange with a dense, off-white head with good retention and nice lacing. The nose is decent. The Centennial and Columbus hops lend a nice, pleasant fruity hop character, a little leafy aroma to muddy up the cleanliness. The malt character is also clean (the menu listed Super Pilsen, a malt I'd never heard of) with a blend of dough, caramel and biscuit. Strangely stale/dull IMO. The palate opens with a pleasant blend of hop flavor and mild bitterness, tempered by a moderate malt flavor. Mildly doughy with a little bit of caramel and honey, there's also a touch of chalk present. Drying on the finish with a blend of hop flavor and residual sweetness, this beer is pleasant enough, quite drinkable and worthy if you see it.
