The Devil’s Bitter was one of the seasonal choices. It was served in a Guinness style glass. The beer is a chill hazed dark gold with a white head. It has sheets of lacing.
Grains and floral notes in the nose. A bit subdued but still fresh and inviting.
Taste leads with bready malts and the english goldings add a nice counterpart to the pine notes from the cascades. Balance is the key here. A bit earthy late.
The mouth is silky with low carbonation. I would like to see this on cask.
