Part of the Summer Brews pack from Cost Plus World Market.
Pours a crystal clear super light yellow with a 1/2 inch off-white head that fades to an oily film on the top of the beer. Random patterns of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of corn flakes, sugar, and metallic notes. Taste is somewhat watery and is of sweetened corn flakes and slight metal. This beer has a high level of carbonation with a very crisp and clean mouthfeel. Overall, I am actually pretty impressed with this light beer. I was expecting a skunked horrible off-brand lager but it’s actually not half bad for what it is.

Appearance: Extremely pale yellow. Decent carbonation and great white foam and lacing. This bottle sat around for a bit in a clear bottle, so I'm pleasantly surprised with this.
Smell: Strong malts and some skunked bitter hops.
Taste/Mouthfeel: More skunked hops and lemony bitterness. Even some metallic aftertaste. Nothing special. Fairly creamy mouthfeel that I like though.
Drinkability: The taste really hurts this category and drops it to an average beer.
Overall: So promising. If only for the taste, this would be a decent lager.

Highs: Head retention
Lows: Watery, overly sweet flavor
Picked this one up at the Albertsons grocery store. Apparently its a new offering.
Pours a medium yellow-clear with a big fluffy white head that fades to a heavy sheet of lacing. Malty-sweet nose, maybe some yeast in the background. Flavor is like a watered-down cerveza-style macro (which I affectionately refer to as Mexican Beers, even though many, including this one, are not from Mexico). Theres a bit of malt, fading to a tiny hint of bitterness, then that watery sweetness toward the finish, maybe a tiny bit grassy. Mouthfeel is as expected, lightly bubbly and refreshing; pretty standard lawn-mowing fare here. Not much of a finish, just a lingering watery vegetable sweetness. Drinkability is OK; the sweetness turns me off, but its not terrible.
Overall: A fair light cerveza, but there are many other better ones out there. Bottle lists 107 calories and 4.9 carbs but no ABV, so Im not sure how much of a light beer this is. I really dont see the point of trying it unless you are simply an obsessive completist like me.
