A: Pours a black as night crude oil looking color. Nice frothy caramel colored head. Good lace on the glass.
S: Aromas of burnt chocolate and roasted malt notes. Slight grassy hop notes also.
T/M: Burnt chocolate and roasted coffee notes are the most dominant flavors. Slightly sweet caramel notes mix with nutty flavors--good balance. Sharp bitterness of the hops present themselves. Silky smooth and soft on the palate. Robust with a good hefty body too it. Low abv makes this a session beer.
D: Higly drinkable oatmeal stout--almost a breakfast stout. I may have some tomorrow morning with eggs! Probably better on-tap as it's poured from the nitro-tap, but I had to try it.

Appearance: black in color with a 1" creamy tan colored head taht lasted a while. Decent lacing develops.

Smell: mild coffee and general roasted tones.

Taste: strong roasted malts, coffee, molasses, while the oats mellow it out. Nice background bitterness here.

Mouthfeel: creamy throughout. Heavy bodied. Aftertaste is short with the roasted coffee flavors.

Drinkability: very easy drinking oatmeal stout. Very low in alcohol. Nice brew worth having.

On tap at the brewpub.

So far this is my favorite beer at the Watch City.

Pours a deep black with a brown, chocolate milkish frothy head. Smells sweet and malty. Nice chocolate malt taste, more like a kids drink than a beer. Very smooth and mellow mouthfeel. I wanted to haver a few of these but limited myself to one.

A fantastic "oatmalt" stout. Vert tasty.

The menu claimed that this beer had a little nitrogen added, so though I can't confirm it I'm making my review of a nitro-tap.

A mean old stout, the oatmalt really adds much here to the flavor profile, sticking to the mouth and giving good body. Pours a proper stout color, dark and rich with creamy, lacy head. Smell is hearty, with slight overtones of hops. Menu claims oatmalt is used instead of flaked oatmeal to get a complex, session style, medium body oatmeal stout, and I agree. Quite drinkable.

I believe the name was actually "oatmalt" instead of "oatmeal" for what it is worth.

Black, small head without much retention. Smell is sweet roastines and a bit of herbs. Taste is pleasant, on the sweet side of things with a little acidity that keeps the sweatness from getting annoying. Big body, low carbonation. Overall pleasant but forgetable. Towards the end of the pint the sweetness combined with the big body hurt the drinkability.

Sampled on tap at the brewpub. 3.7% ABV, 41 IBU.

This stout poured a deep black color with brown foam that settled but clung to the glass. The smell was very minimal, but some dark, roasted malt aroma could be detected. The taste was very dark roasted malt with almost burnt overtones. There was a very light sweetness with some licorice flavor and a hint of oats in the finish. There was a strong hoppiness beneath all the roasted malt. The mouthfeel was smooth and fairly dry with medium-full body and low carbonation feel. This was a good stout, though a bit darkly roasted for an oatmeal stout.
