This beer was served with a lemon slice. Normally, I would not penalize appearance points for this, but this is a brewpub, darn it, and they should know better! Also, I am forced to assume that since Watch City exclusively sells this beer, every serving comes with the lemon, and thus 100% of the beer is served poorly.
Otherwise, pale with little to no head. Smell is citrus-like and strong. Low carbonation. Citrus is the primary flavor here, with a low hop profile backup. Still, this beer is interesting nonetheless, for combining a German wheat with a Belgian wit. Hmm.

Reviewing Hefeweizens is turning into a pass time for me. Its my favorite style, and I love it when done right. On the other hand, when wrong it can be a disaster. This beer lies somewhere in the middle. It pours a hazy golden, with a nice head and a lace than clings to the glass for the entire beer. It has a nice citrus nose at first, but a hint of chemical n the back, and thats where I have some concern. The taste is the Hefe citrus in the front, and a little alcohol (surprisingly strong for this style). The chemical tang comes out on the back end. I suspect a domestic yeast strain instead of good Bavarian stock. It has a nice medium body and a very high drinkability (especially in this hot weather). This is a decent beer, but not a great one. A few tweaks would push this into the great category
