Poured from a growler that was purchased on 3/19/08 and consumed the next day from a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is medium brown color, with a very thin off-white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.
S: The aroma is of maple, caramel, nuts, some fruit and a touch of hops.
T: The taste is malty and sweet with flavors of maple syrup, fruit, roasted nuts and caramel. There's a decent hops presence that provides a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
D: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, it's a good beer but like most beers I've had from a growler I think has lost a little something that would have been there had the beer been fresh from the tap.

This beer pours a sick dark chocolate brown, and leaves a thick tan head. The aroma is so powerful, you don't even need to stick your head in the glass to get a whiff of this great brown ale. The nose of this ale is sweet, chocolate, roasted nuts, caramel sweetness, as well as a little bit of vanilla. The taste on the palate is smooth, I love when you put a beer on your palate and you get exactly what you smelled. The taste mirrored the aroma and then some. I love this beer and I will def be back to get another growler or sit down and have a pint.

Pours an opaquely cloudy dark brown, topped wityh a one finger creamy ivory head, leaves a broken sheet of lacing.
Sweet, caramel, toffee, nut and tea aroma.
Caramel, candy, nut-almond, toffee, brown sugar and some floral hop. The aftertaste is sweet with more nuttiness.
Medium bodied, flat and smooth.

I was pleased to see Watch City had their cask up and running. The first beer back on was the Buster Nut Brown Ale. It took me a few seconds to decypher the name because I kept thinking the first two words sounded like a porn star's name. Once I got passed the issue of me being a total pervert I was able to enjoy this absolutely incredible treat from the good folks at Watch City.
I am not a fan of nutty beers or brown beers, but I had to give this one a shot since it was on cask and I am certainly glad I did. The head meant business, and stuck around for 3/4 the life of my mug. Nice lacing coated the inside of my mug, to the point you couldn't read what number mug club I have.
Sweet smelling beer, nuts and molasses. Smooth and sweet tasting beer, mellow character, but more than hit the spot. Each sip was better than the last. Mouthfeel was better than any other beer I've tried there, smooth, comforting...like the beer was hugging my palate, assuring me the Sox would indeed win Game 5, which my beer and I watched with great anxiety.
Definitely worth a trip to Watch City just to try this beer on cask. Unfortunately folks, no taking home the cask beer, it has to be enjoyed on premises.

Brand new beer at Watch City. Nut Browns have always been a beer Ive looked forward to, and this one didnt disappoint. The beer poured a deep brown with a nice off-white head. There was a delicate lace that clung to the glass after a sip. Wonderful roasted malt aroma. I grew up in St. Louis down wind of the Big brewery. Im not saying anything was grand about their beer, but the smell reminds me of home, and is comforting. Taste has roasted malt. The brewers notes indicate this was brewed with brown sugar, and the sweetness comes across, but doesnt dominate the beer. The flavor has a little hazelnut or chestnut. Medium mouth feel. Decent drinkability.
