Description is a brown wood ale smoked with cherry wood malts and vanilla beans.
A: This beer pours a nice chestnut brown with some ruby hues around the edges when held to the light. A 1/4 inch of light tan head sits on top. Head dissipates quickly leaving thick lacing on the glass.
S: Nose is of rich caramel malts and toffee. Some hints of roasted malts are also present.
T: Taste is wowsa! The oak cherry and vanilla are fantastic!!! Starts with a nice rich toffee flavoring and then the caramel malts come in to compliment the toffee. Hints of charred malts are present. Oak, cherry and vanilla finish this bad boy out nicely with just a hint of smoke in the finish.
M: Medium body, medium carbonation. Rich creamy body with a sticky finish.
D: Damn tasty brew here! I don't normally like the actual flavoring of vanilla in a beer (despite loving the idea of it), however this brew hits the spot. Vanilla is well done, oaked and smoke flavoring compliments the beer. I could sit with this one for another pint or two!
