On tap this past Saturday 6/04 at Watch City. Served in a 14 oz snifter. It's described as a Belgian style ale brewed with three types of gourds and herbs de provence. Dark brown color, with a bit of red on the edges. Tiny head atop the glass. Smell can be summed up with one word - lavender! And a lot of it. I thought it smelled great, if it was perfume or a candle. But I was unsure how this would work in a beer. The taste was very interesting and complex, but I don't think I liked it. I will give it points for originality, but deduct some for strangeness. It tasted like a pumpkin ale that literally had fresh cut lavender in the glass. Hard to pair with dinner. The mouthfeel was decent, somewhat like thin porter. But overall this was a difficult beer to get through due to its intense fragrant flavoring. Glad I tried it and kudos to the brewer, but this beer is not for everyone. Be warned if you order a glass anytime soon.
