Poured on-tap and served in a tumbler pint, the beer is a slightly hazy, ruby-orange coloring with a ring of film on the surface. Aromas of bubblegum and cotton candy, with a touch of spice. Unique, to say the least. The flavors have a heavy spiced undertone of oregano and pepper, with a passion fruit and mango sweetness. Hibiscus and jasmine herbal highlights and a touch of raw honey in the flavor, too. Rich, smooth aftertaste, with a subtly spiced, clean finish. Very interesting brew.

From notes taken at BBF
According to Watch City: "We grow and spice this Belgian Pale Ale with our own Bee Balm, Lemon Balm and locally source Jasmine Green Tea. The beer has absolutely no hops and the herbs compliment the spicey Belgian yeast on their own. The result is a refreshingly subdued citrus and pepper flavor that melds nicely with this style of beer."
A - Poured a cloudy amber hue with an offwhite thin one finger head that faded quickly.
S - Best part of the gruit here. Very herbal, lots of lemon, green tea, honey, and light floral (unplaceable) notes. Very inviting.
T - And theres the let down. The above aromas are in the taste, just, incredibly muted. Very dissappointed in the taste, expecting the nose to carry through but it faded away.
M - Nice mouthfeel considering the ABV. Light carbonation, but balanced. Quite drinkable.
O - This had all the makings to be a very tasty gruit, but unfortunately the taste didnt do it for me. Nice appearance, very good nose, good mouthfeel, but the flavors just dont pop. Still, I would give this another try.
