Served in a pint glass
A: This beer pours an opaque brown with a light brown film. Wisps of lacing are left on the glass.
S: Nose is bitter bakers chocolate, vanilla and coffee grounds.
T: Taste starts with bitter maker's chocolate followed by a wave of strong vanilla flavoring. Anise comes in with a continued bitter chocolate. Finish is anise and caramel malts.
M: Lighter side of medium body, slightly undercarbonated, thin slick feel.
O: Goes down ok, somewhat tasty, not too filling, mild kick, ok representation of style. For those who like vanilla in their beers, this would be a nice option though it needs to be more carbonated.
