For as many times as I have had this, I can't believe I've never reviewed it.
Consumed 11/17 served in a pint glass

A: This beer pours a clear light copper color with a 1/4 inch of white sudsy head that recedes almost immediately. Nice wispy spider webbed lacing is left on the glass.

S: Nose is pale malts, grain and a touch of earthy notes.

T: Taste starts nice and light... a nice pale crystal malt flavoring. A heathly dose of breadiness moves in to fill out the middle. Finish has a nice earthy, grassiness hop presence to it.

M: Lighter side of medium body, medium carbonation, starts out dry but finish is a nice slick oily feel.

D: Goes down very easily, not filling, very mild kick, nice representation of style. This is a really nice sessionable beer - and one I've used to convert some BMC drinkers.

On-tap 9/1/09 at the brewpub Waltham, MA, served in a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a short white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma is of light caramelized malts, some citrus and a touch of hops.

T: The taste is light but bready and malty with mildly sweet flavors of caramel and citrus. There's a decent hops presence for the style and it provides a good balance. The after-taste is slightly bready.

M: Smooth and very crisp, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.

D: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, very mild kick, good representation of style, for what this beer is intended to be, it hits the mark well, it's a nice easy-drinking lighter beer with some substance that you can pound down for a long time.

Extremely subtle beer that was another enjoyable session brew from Watch City. Poured a pale gold color that was just a slight bit hazy. I also swear that when I held it up to the light there was a slight green tinge to it. Held it up from several angles to make sure that it was not the light pulling tricks but I swear I saw it each time. Nose had just the slightest of hoppy tones.

Flavor was simple but enjoyable. Light malt bill gave a slight sweetness to this beer. Just a slight hoppy bitterness that was a tang of orange and lemon rinds. Crisp mouthfeel with a medium body. Even a tad juicy. Very lager-like I thought. Nice sessionable beer but nothing to knock your socks off--just a well-balanced, solid beer.

Golden color with barely a head.

Light smell of malts and citrus, very faint.

Clean taste of hops. Some sweetness.

Very smooth mouthfeel.

Low alcohol, easy to drink beer. Not a great beer, but a good one to fall back on when you don't want anything too complex.

Pours a pale golden color, light carbonation. Head is light at best. Taste is light, sweet more than anything else, with a definite citrus element to it. There is nothing wrong with this beer, per se, but the citrus element just doesn’t sit well with me. The menu compares this to Molson Golden (Ugg). Boring. Watch City can do better.

This was a very light, Golden Ale that I sampled recently at the brewpub. The beer was golden straw colored with a moderate amount of white foam that left a trace of lace on the glass. The smell was extremely faint (perhaps a trace of malt). The flavor was very light, with the light taste of hops evident. The mouthfeel was crisp and clean, but the body was very thin. The drinkability was OK, but this beer was so light that I really did not care to have another. It is a decent beer for its style, and it likely appeals to the American Lager fans.
