Consumed 10/31
Served in a pint glass
A: This beer pours a dark brown with slight chestnut hues around the edges. Two fingers of think, foamy head. Head retains quite nicely leaving sheets of lacing at first, then thick ringlets of lacing.
S: Nose is oatmeal, espresso, malt and chocolate.
T: Taste starts thick and creamy at first, an almost oatmeal latte flavoring before thickening in to a stronger caramel and chocolate body. FInish brings out a nice roasted coffee bean flavoring that becomes a bit more bitter almost espresso with some bakers chocolate.
M: Medium to thicker body, moderate to low carbonation, nice creamy, slick feel.
O: Goes down very easy, quite tasty, somewhat filling, at 4.5 - a nice sessionable tasty stout. I could have easily sat and had several more of these.

Poured on nitro-tap and served in a tumbler pint, the beer is a dark, ruby highlighted, brown coloring with a filmy, light-tan head. Nose of coffee, both roasted and bitter, with grainy highlights. Flavors are rich and bitter, with a heavy roast and a tough of smoke riding the bitter, dry roasted coffee backbone. The aftertaste is meaty, with a chocolate and mocha character. Bitter, dry finish to the brew. Very tasty, and very easy to drink.
