Brauerei Bayer Theinheim

Our tour bust stopped here for a tour of the brewery and to have dinner. The brewery goes by the Bayer name but is also known as Gasthof Zum Grunen Baum. It was a very informative tour by the female owner of the brewery. It's interesting that the beer is brewed in buildings on one side of the street but is piped underground to the lagering tanks and for packaging. We were able to sample two beers from the tanks during the tour.

Afterward we had a delicious meal with a couple more beers – the Landbier and the Knorzla. Both were very tasty, as was the food. There were four beers on tap plus two in bottles. I recommend this place, and it's well worth the trip.
