Pours black with a finger of caramel foam. Head is dense and retains okay. Aroma is espresso, roasty, nutty, caramely, toasty malts with light caramel and toffee behind. Flavor profile is roasty, toasty, nutty and earthy malts. Hints of caramel and espresso add sweetness and bitterness. Balance leans towards bitter. Mouth feel opens up velvety, but quickly develops a little prickly, fizzy texture. It has a medium thickness. Overall, a fair, light-bodied stout with smooth attributes.
Served in a 15.5oz Spiegalau tulip from a 32oz crowler.

On tap. Poured an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It smelled of coffee, chocolate and toffee. Strong roasted coffee flavor with chocolate, toffee.
