Broadway took their Porter put it in a firkin and added coffee and vanilla beans for a week and a half.
A - Poured out an opaque, jet black color with a small, light brown head of very bubbly foam. It left thin sheets of suds on the glass.
S - It smelled of coffee, some vanilla, roasted malt and some chocolate.
T - Good strong dark coffee flavors. The vanilla is mild but good. Some typical porter flavors caramel, roastiness, toffee and chocolate.
M - It crisp and smooth. A medium bodied ale with a dry clean finish.
O - This was a nice start to the firkin program at Broadway.
