On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear reddish orange color with a creamy one finger white head. Aroma of big time ginger, some light caramel, more ginger, maybe a little fruit, more like a gingerbread cookie than the ginger spice itself. Flavor follows with a punch of ginger but not overly spiced, gingerbread bark, some light caramel malts that keep things sweetened up, and a lingering bitter finger spice left on the palate. Smooth, light mouthfeel with plenty of carbonation makes this very drinkable. Overall this is a success in my book. I am not usually a fan of spiced brews, but the ginger alone seems to make this a nice treat that isn’t overly in your face spice rack. Would be great next to a fire on Christmas Eve.
