To create a beer inspired by the elusive #PSL, we mature a White Stout on blonde roast coffee, Madagascar vanilla beans, cinnamon sticks, clove, and nutmeg.

It’s okay, but I won’t be looking for more this year...or next...

Very unimpressive out of the can, there is no smell to this I can tell or even pull out - and I tried. Mouthfeel is actually very good - full-bodied and carbonated quite well. The taste is a muted flavor of coffee with no pumpkin I could really taste. As a coffee brew, this works well, but as a pumpkin beer it falls short.

Three ounces served from a can into an Erdinger Oktoberfest stein during my second decennial pumpkin beer tasting.

Great use of the white stout style. Orange tinted very translucent look. Off-white ring of lace with a few islands floating around. Coffee nose with just a slight amount of spice. Typical stout mouthfeel Vanilla finish. Enjoyed my small serving.

Had this on tap and then in a bomber this past weekend in Gainesville, FL. I will rate from the bottle. It came out with a light pumpkin hue, I would liken it to a watered down amber. Very little head that doesn't stay around. The nutmeg/all spice with the pumpkin standout. More of the spices are in the nose than the pumpkin. The flavors are very subtle. There is no over powering of pumpkin and spice, but you know that you are drinking that style of beer. The body is solid, and after a glass becomes almost heavy. This is toned down version compared to most on the market.

On draft at the brewery. Described as a "white stout", but from drinking it, it’s either a golden ale or cream ale. Entered here as a cream ale, but admins feel free to correct me here. Pours clear golden colored with a small ring of white head. Aroma of coffee, honey, hay, and some faint ginger/cinnamon/nutmeg spice combo I guess. Flavor follows sweet with definite notes of coffee, some faint spice, sweet honey, some dirty notes left on the palate (similar to what I get from their regular cream ale and another similar beer, Morning Glow). Light to medium bodied, a little slick, dry finish, and medium carbonation. I enjoyed this more than Morning Glow, and appreciate that the spices are very muted. But it escapes me why they didn’t do this treatment with their excellent milk stout or Midnight Oil, rather than this beer. Not bad, relatively pleasant and smooth, but I wouldn’t order it again.
