Citra and Mosaic west coast IPA. Pours a slightly hazy amber, lots of fine sediment in suspension, two fingers soapy white head, trails lace partway down the glass. Smell: dank, lime zest, grapefruit, apricot, dried orange, notes of honey and biscuit. Taste: floury biscuit, mango, blueberry skin, splash of orange juice and lime zest, grassy and earthy notes. Medium bodied, creamy feel with mildly prickly carbonation, drying, sticky, and Mosaic-y finish. Tasty offering from Swamp Head.

I may be a biased swamp head fan, but this, if you have it fresh is fantastic. The fresh hop character is beautiful, grapefruity and earthy, a little chewy. At the same time the malt chewiness in the end is awesome. This is one of the best put together fresh ipa's I've ever had, I realize what I'm saying. Better than Big Nose.

Bouquet at the nose, floral and some citrus in taste. Fantastic beer.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nice dark color and really smooth on the palate. I like the bitterness for an American IPA. Tastes like a bigger beer than it is. Another great Swamphead Beer
