Excellent head production and body color; retention is poor after a quick fizz. Tons of toffee sediment, clumping at the top of the body and littering the side of the glass. It's unfortunately not an attractive beer.
Huge banana and toffee nose. Additional notes include nuts, cola, and molasses. Very sweet, almost cloying - if anything can smell cloying.
Remarkably similar presentation on the palate. Sweet and yeasty (banana) up front, but the toffee really takes over mid sip and lasting through the finish with a slightly metallic tinge. Other notes include nuts, coffee, chocolate, and molasses.
Too sweet and unbalanced, but once the toffee kicks in, this beer really hits its sweet spot (pun intended). It should be a dessert-like imperial stout, and it is. If you know what you're getting into, this is quite tasty. Very sticky finish.
