500 ml can, as Vieux Bruxelles Kriek, 4.0% ABV. Bought at Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. "Lambic" is not part of the name, actually lambic is not mentioned on the can at all. On the contrary, the can states that this is a top fermented beer, not a spontaneously fermented beer. Beautiful clear deep red colour, moderate off-white head. Distinct aroma of cherries, cherry kernels and almonds. The flavour is sweet and not sour, notes of cherries and almonds again, the mouthfeel is a bit thin.

Cerveza rojiza con un pequeño cordón espumoso de buena retención. Cuerpo ligero y carbonatación media. Aroma a cereza. En boca es dulce y en algunos momentos se siente un leve gusto a jarabe pero sigue siendo una cerveza fácil de beber.

Ruby color, even a little brown, slightly turbid. Foam slightly pink, very small and very short-lived.
Aroma: sweet cherry compote, feel a lot of sweetness and slight accents guilty.
Taste: more character guilty, it is more dry and sweet compote of cherries, plus light acidity.
Gentian light, stone, high saturation

The Aldi brand of krieks, this local brewery offers a cheap kriek, that tastes pretty ok if sufficiently cooled, considering the price for what you get, a pretty good deal, but don't expect more.

Fruity nose without doubt the cherry juice but not too aggressive and relatively mild. The body is soft, more or less sweet, but usually a mouth and an aftertaste rather "light" which is somewhat reminiscent of grenadine. A beer with little character and a certain flatness in the flavors.
