Picked up in a four pack for a song, most beers in the states for a four pack are in the $10 range. I picked up this four pack for 5 bucks, let's give it a whirl. Popping the top I get a smell of caramel and zest. Pours to a deep brown with a one finger tan head that quickly recedes with only light lacing. On the taste this brew has an up front molasses flavor with a zesty sharp hop bitterness. Carbonation seems high or it may be the lack of sufficient malt backbone. A good refreshing and zesty brew, would go great with a thick juicy hamburger.

Like an overly sweet Newcastle Brown. Food dye undoubtedly involved somewhere.

Very Belgian like. Bananas and yeast. Some clove and spice. Caramel and toffee. Very malty. A decent Belgian.

Redish brown colour, ring of off white head, light lace as well. Smell is mostly raisin and brown sugar, some sweet candy comes through also, reminds me a bit of raisin bran. Taste is like a weaker version of the nose with dark sugars and raisin, plum, more flavourful in the aftertaste. Highly carbonated, medium-light body. This was okay, nothing wrong with it but just not very interesting really.

Ruby color with a two finger head with low retention.
Aroma of red fruits, Belgian yeast and condiments.
Taste follows nose, lots of raspberries and spices on a malty base.
Light body with strong carbonation.
A bit over carbonated and not as complex as other Belgian Dubbel, on the other hand it has a higher drinkability. It could be a session beer packed with flavors.
