For a brewery that wants to compete with the big boys, their beer is sure hard to find. Bought in a random depanneur in Montreal.
Poured from a 341ml. bottle.
Appearance: Pale yellow body (clear) with surprising lots of white head, 2-3 fingers. It lasts a little while and even leaves lacing! The only worrisome feature is a tiny stream of bubbles otherwise no apparent carbonation.
Smell: Adjuncts, probably corn, with a touch of lemon. Nothing great but it's not offensive so that's a plus.
Taste: Ugh, big time corn with some fake grain flavor with a rather gross skunky aftertaste. It's not a bland or clean taste, it's just unappealing.
Mouthfeel: I just took it out of the fridge and it has a lukewarm feel in my mouth. Not good at all, feels very uncomfortable.
Drinkability: No, i barely had half and the rest was a drainpour.
Overall: Well, the look & the aroma kind of lead me to believe that it would be passable but alas, that wasn't the case. Molson and Labatt can rest easy. This one won't be cutting into their pie.
