Came to me in one of their standard pint glasses. Might have sat on the bar a bit because there was no head left. It laced well and had a deep brown color that let a little light through.
Smells was mostly coffee and chocolate notes. Some heavier malts in there, and it ended with a sweet hint right at the end.
First sip was great. Semi-complex with the coffee and chocolates working together. Mid-drink, some caramel notes came through. It finished with a slight hop kick, not much, but adequate for the style and the right amount to complement the other flavors there.
Mouthfeel was a little light for a porter. But it ended a little creamy on the palate. For 4.8% ABV, I wasn't suspecting a really thick and creamy beer.
Overall, I think this is one of there better beers brewed at Lil' Charlies. I haven't reviewed them all, but enjoyed most of them and I hope they keep this one around awhile.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
