New seasonal brew from the local brewery, and I think they got lazy on the naming. If anyone can help with the ABV or if they come out with an actual name, please help.
A- Pours black as night with a small brown head. Good lacing, and average head retention.
S- Dark roasts and chocolate mainly. Not really strong, but not faint either.
T- Big on the burnt roasts and chocolate. A touch of coffee throughout, but not much. Has a sort of burnt aftertaste the sits on the palate for awhile, but it's a good flavor and consistent with the rest of the brew.
M- A little light on the palate for a claimed Imperial Stout. A little more than average carbonation for the style. Not too bad. You can feel a little bit of alcohol present, but not much, and as I'm not aware of the ABV, I would guess between 6% and 7%.
Overall, I'm glad there is a very drinkable stout in my hometown now. A recommendation is to get a growler of it, as a fll is $8 versus $4.50 for a pint.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
