Thanks to Kris, a friend in Abingdon, for the growler. Poured into a tulip. Clear burnt orange color with a two inch head. Great lacing with a head that sticks around. Nice looking beer.
The aroma hit me when I opened the growler. Citrus hoppy goodness. Orange tangerine? A little sweet malty undertone. Smells like the name.
Taste is a knockout. Citrus hoppiness to start, malty sweet hop in the middle and a lingering sweet hop finish. Really good ipa. Great balance and great hop taste.
Mouthfeel is perfect. Perfect carbonation and even though it's only 7.1% abv I get a hop oil feel throughout. Starts slightly crisp and ends smooth. Really nice.
Overall a great ipa from a great brewery. I wish I lived closer but I have friends who can deliver.
