Pours a nice clear amber color with a nice big tan head that's falls slow and laces like crazy.
Aroma is light side some caramel malts with limited ght citrus hop aromas. Not bad but not what you would expect for a big hoppy red.
Taste is like the nose only stronger more caramel malts good deep hop flavors tobacco like. With a good bitter finish, would be great but there is a notable alcohol burn that would be great in a barley wine but not so good in this red.
Mouthfeel is medium with nice smooth carbonation.
Overall probably the worse beer I have had from Wolf Hills but only because of the alcohol burn. New batch of this brew its hitting 8% now.

Some Abingdon friends and I shared some Wolf Hills growlers last night and didn't get to this one. Poured into a tulip from a growler. Nice reddish brown color with a two finger beige head. Decent retention with nice lacing. Good looking beer.
Smell is sweet hops with some malt. Smells like a mild, balanced ipa. Very inviting.
Taste is outstanding. Mild hops to start with great malt hop balance in the middle and a smooth malt finish. Really good beer. Wolf Hills rates this at 60 ibu and that seems to be accurate. Balanced.
Mouthfeel is very nice for a red ale. Good carbonation and smooth finish.
Overall a really good beer from a really good brewery. I haven't had even an average beer from Wolf Hills. Always good beers. I wish they were easier to get in Tennessee.
