Appearance -
Unfiltered. Pours a hazy amber colour. Strong effervescence sustains a thick cloudy head, approx. 2 fingers. Plenty of lacing. Consistent colour all the way through without large particles.
Smell -
Pine, leaves, floral, botanicals, a hint of citrus. A bit of a sweet, biscuit malt character.
Taste -
Botanicals, pine, a hint of citrus and biscuit are the main flavours. Quite sweet up front, and finishes with a cut grass and mineral water aftertaste. More floral than fruit compared to other APAs I have tried.
Mouthfeel -
Smooth and medium bodied. Effervescence like pop rocks on the tongue. Foams up when chewed. Refreshing on a hot summer's day in Europe.
Overall -
Refreshing and drinkable, although not the biggest aroma or flavour out there, and a touch sweet.
