Fairly standard Eurolager, but feels more craft than industrially made. Clean, fresh, with notes of hay and gentle hops, medium crispness, and some lingering flavor in the finish. This was perfectly fine after a hot day hiking in the mountains.

Straw with 4 fingers of yellowish head, and a fair amount of small bubbled carbonation.

It smells like aGerman pilsner, with Czech style hops, and slightly malty with fresh cut hay.

The taste follows the nose very much like a German Pilsner. Fresh-cut hay, molasses, and a hint of sourness.

Light body with moderate, crisp carbonation.

I had this one shipped up from Bangkok. I'm drinking it October 13, 2017. Of course, the reason I got this is because it was from Lichtenstein. However, it's a decent beer in itself for a Pilsner style brew.

Liechtensteiner Brauhaus "Alpagold". 4.80% ABV.

Unpasteurized. 33cl brown glass bottle with a pry-off crown cap purchased at a Denner market in Schaan for 1.75 francs in Spring 2016.

Aroma is clean and malty. Crisp Munich malts, Pilsner malts, grassy hops. Aromatic intensity is average.

Taste follows the aroma, but bends a bit buttery. Munich malts' dominance in this flavour profile lean it heavy into Munich Helles lager conventions, and I wouldn't be surprised if the grassy hop character was all Hallertauer Noble. I guess Saaz is possible also. Balanced albeit simple.

Texture is medium-bodied, clean, smooth, and wet. Overcarbonated, but not unrefreshing. A lighter body and less crisp biting feel would be ideal.

Drinkable and enjoyable, if a bit underwhelming. It's my first Liechtensteiner beer, and seems quite average. I wouldn't buy it again, but I'm glad I tried it once.
