It looks the part of a pumpkin beer, the dark amber color with the white head and even has the sweet pumpkin spice aroma that isn't super heavy. It does not have much in the way of flavor or body. The smell led me to expect a much bigger taste, and even the name did too. It's got a little more flavor than a pumpkin soda. The mouthfeel is equally thin. This needs more body.

Clear, amber color. Medium-sized, white head. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and malt in the aroma. The same notes follow into a malty taste. Not overly sweet. A decent pumpkin ale.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a medium orange with a two finger off-white had with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of pale malt, raw pumpkin, light pumpkin pie spices particularly ginger and cinnamon. Flavor is pale malt, ginger, cinnamon, allspice and a touch of clove and mild uncooked pumpkin; slightly astringent. Medium bodied with light creaminess. A lighter bodied pumpkin ale with good pie spicing but the pumpkin character tastes a bit unrefined. The spices have a mild sharpness. A satisfactory pumpkin ale that does have some pumpkin character, but is rather subdued. Light bodied. Kinda what I expected from a contract brewed ale.

The pour is marmalade colored. The taste is pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, & maybe a hint of vanilla near the finish. Cheers! B
