Average stuff. Nothing special about it. I like dark beer so i find it tolerable. I would prefer an Old Chub or Bourbon County stout.

16.9 oz bottle into a tall pokal.
L: SRM 37 pours almost black with some ruby color at its base, light steady carbo, a 1/2" normal beige head that has good retention, medium-light perforated lacing.
S: Caramel malts, malty dark bread, a hint of dark fruits, a subtle floral note, distant faint chocolate.
T: Taste basically follows aroma with dried dark fruits, some chocolate, toasted grains, dark bread, fairly balanced with equal sweet & bitter notes though gently malt accented with bready notes throughout including the aftertaste.
F: Gently brisk, relatively smooth medium to med-light slightly drying finish.
O: This beer has a gorgeous malt structure and design that agrees well the the hop bill. Very easy to drink and rather toasty and tasty. It is very good in its style.
