Copper-colored body; slightly hazy; thick, rocky, white head. Aroma of caramelized sugar; fruity esters. Dull, flat favor; weak, fruit-like flavor; fair hop bitterness. Medium body; coarse and dry on the palate.
The overall flavor seems weak and watery with very little to offer in the way of rye or other grain flavors. The beer looks awesome and offers potential based on the aroma, but the flavor lacks character and depth. It does give some mundane sweetness and a respectable bitterness but doesn't leave any lasting impression. Good but forgettable.

A: A brownish amber color that reminds me of iced tea with a rocky white head on top.
S: An odd sort of bready smell, slightly earthy and herbal with a hint of flowery aroma. A touch of rye in there, as well as a character I usually get from English style yeasts.
T: Malt dominated, with caramel and bread flavors. Some earthy hops in the finish, and a decent lingering bitterness. Not too much of a rye character, nor a lot of hops for an IPA.
M: Medium in body, with moderate carbonation. Some bitterness in the finish.
O: I suppose since it is caller Amber rye, the focus would be more on the malts than a typical IPA, but this almost seems like IPA was added to the label to sell more bottles. Decent, but not one I'd buy again.
