Pours a clear, copper color. 5/4 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of strong alcohol, hint of liquor, slight sweet malt, citrus hops, and slight spicy hops. Fits the style of an American Double / Imperial IPA. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of strong alcohol, strong liquor, hint of hops, and hint of sweet malt. Overall, great appearance, decent aroma, but awful body and blend. There was so much liquor and alcohol I couldn't even tell this was supposed to be an IPA.

Reviewed with Bob, two days after Christmas at the new brewery in Littleton. It is actually listed on the menu at 11.2%. A very unique barrel aged double IPA poured in tulip glasses. The both of us really love this. Bartender accidentally poured four so we get an extra one free! Smell is heavy on the whiskey and malt. Taste is excellent. A lot of malt and whiskey up front and very little hop profile remaining which is enjoyable. Definitely tastes like the IPA has been aging, turning from hoppy to malty.

There have been so many fresh hopped beers lately. Why not try another one?
Pours into my glass and is dark gold. Unfiltered with a decent head but no lacing.
Nose had some caramel right away but not for long. Then hints of fruit.
Taste gets better after you have the bottle open. A fruity mix and some malt and rather boozy. Mouth feel is the highlight here with a nice creaminess. Another good example of the IPA bunch.

Bottle poured into snifter. Color is light orange, Amber hue with a lot of particles floating likely from the dry hopping. Ugly looking appearance. Smell is old hops, heavy booze, whiskey, moonshine. Heavy smell of rubbing alcohol.
Taste is biscuit, tropical stale hops, big alcohol warmth, powerful whiskey, white corn, bit of hop bite combined with booze.
This is first legitimate barrel aged IPA I've had. Pretty weird one. Enormous amount of whiskey flavor and booziness with the hops playing as an old, stale afterthought. Unbalanced to my taste.

A - Pours a two fingers of creamy white head with a light amber hue.
S - I smell vanilla, coconut, brown sugar and some light pine.
T - Wooo. Yep this is a nice barrel aged IPA. Vanilla, coconut some light hops. It has a little sugary sweetness in there as well.
M - Medium to heavy. Medium carbonation.
O - I really like barrel aged IPA's. This is about as good as they come.

22oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, khaki head of foam. It smelled of citrus, bourbon, vanilla, caramel and toffee. Sweet citrus and caramel with vanilla, oak and a boozy finish.
