Poured from an 12-oz bottle well within its date range into a snifter (we’re camping, and snifters are all we have with us).
Appearance: Dark amber, with a small light tan head that dissipated pretty quickly and left a little lacing.
Nose: Medium roast grain, stone and dried fruit.
Mouthfeel: Medium, plenty of carbonation.
Attack: Malt, balanced by hop bitterness. True to style, yet the flavor could be a bit fuller/deeper.
Finish: Slight hop bitterness continues.
Overall: Very drinkable; though there are other Oktoberfests I’d rate higher, I’m enjoying this one.

With so many beers today going out of their way to be full of themselves, it's pleasant to find a beer that is just darn good beer and would go with almost any occasion during the Fall. Nothing remarkable (good or bad) about this beer. It is just simply satisfying in look, taste, and mouthfeel. I could drink this beer all day long and feel safe in serving it to my guests.

Clear amber body with a white ring. Malty nose with toasted caramel, toast, and herbal hops. Interestingly enough the taste was not overly malty, getting lots of toast and bread with the herbs on the finish. Thinner complexion, with decent hop textures, but lacks depth, even for style. Solid marzen, but nothing crazy

There is a best by date on the label. The pour is brown. The taste is rich, malty, a little caramel with some dark bread crust manifesting towards the finish. Cheers! B

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of toasted caramel and roasted malt. Sweet caramel and toffee taste with a mild bitter bite.

Poured from a bottle into a regular pub glass.
Pours copper amber and clear with a great off-white head and good retention.
Aromas of caramel malt, bread crusts, and dark fruits.
The brew has a great malt presence that shows up with both bready and fruity flavors. The hops are present, but could perhaps be a bit more so. A bit of a sweet slant on this one.
The brew is straight medium in body with good carbonation and a decent finish.
The brew delivers far too much malt for the style.

Poured from a bottle: Caramel in color with a small white head, some lacing. Smells of caramel and brown sugar. Malty with brown sugar in the flavor, very good.

Aroma is malts, mild toffee/caramel and dark fruit. The flavor is malts, sweet dark fruit/hint of raisins, mild caramel/toffee and a slightly dry/nutty finish.

12 ounce bottle - $2.29 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
BEST ENJOYED BY 12//15/19.
Appearance: Pours a nearly clear, light copper-amber body with a fullish, off-white head.
Smell: Crisp, toasty crusts, a light sniff of herbal-toned hops and clean fermentation.
Taste: Toasted bready, biscuity with an initial sweetness, though it leans a bit towards blonde caramel or golden syrup. Herbal hops, restrained bitterness. I'd hoped for something a bit drier, as it closes out still a bit sweet.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Fairly smooth mouthfeel.
Overall: So-so.

12oz bottle bb 01/03/20 poured into a krug at fridge temp 6% ABV. The beer pours bright light copper in color with light khaki head. The head recedes to a thin cap and leaves a little lacing. The aroma is faint with very little toasted grain. The taste is very nuetral and clean with slight toasted bread notes and a hint of earthy hops before a mildly bitter finish. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, good, if a bit understated. This is sort of a Marzen light, not a festbeer at all. It's more cleanly lagered than most of the ABINBEV craft lagers that I've tried. Worth a try and middle of the pack plus for me.

From a 355 ml (undated) bottle to a nonic glass.
A-The beer is a nice, copper/amber color. It is crystal clear and almost completely devoid of carbonation. The head fades immediately from a tan cap to a thin collar. OK looking, I guess.
S-The beer smells quite sweet with flavors of toffee, brown sugar, and caramel coming to mind. A little spicy hop note creeps in, but never really penetrates the sweet malty notes.
T-The taste tracks the smell closely. The sweet flavors are on the sugary side for the style, but they never completely overwhelm the beer. Hops provide just a hint of spice and are even less noticeable on the palate than on the smell, but I will admit that my bottle is probably at the end of its useful life.
M-The sweetness comes through in the mouthfeel too. The beer is a bit on the heavy and sticky side of the spectrum. It is not cloying, but I prefer my Marzens a little more on the crisp side.
O-This is a pedestrian effort with a little too much sweetness and not enough in the way of clean, crisp flavors. I would not want to sit around all pounding this beer, but if you want a little sugar in your Oktoberfest brew, this might work.

I recently had some business with my current employers that took me out by the Lancaster Shopping Center, home to a Giant Food Store Beer Café. I do not drive, by choice, so when I am near ANY mix-a-six place, I like to (at least) browse, often procuring new beers to drink and review since I may not be back that way any time soon. I also get credit for the add & the approved pic!
From the bottle: "Fine Colorado Ales"; "Limited Edition"; "Special Release".
A Pop! of the cap, a gentle pour into the awaiting glass & I was off & running. I gave it a vigorous in-glass swirl to raise a finger of fizzy, foamy, tawny head that lasted very briefly & fell away to wisps, leaving some nice lacing in its wake. Color was Amber to Deep Amber/Light Copper (SRM = > 9, < 13) with NE-quality clarity. Nose seemed really sweet, so malty as to be sugary, very bready. Hmm. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste, while still bready and malty, was not as sweet as the nose had led me to gird myself against. It was a decent, albeit sweet, example of the style, but there was no hint of any sort of hop presence. I think that a greater degree of hopping would help to cut the caramel, bready sugariness. Finish was sweet, no two ways about it, making it one & done for me. YMMV.
