Best enjoyed by May 31st 2020.

Pours a clear 24k gold with a small but mindful head of foam. That means long lasting. Lacing is also impressive.

The smell is like a 50-50 mix of malt and hops. There's some citrus but it's matched by bready malt.

The taste is the same. Earthy and bready malt that hints at butterscotch, hoppy notes are citrus and pine. The latter play a lesser role than I would like. By no means would I call this an English style DIPA despite the strong presence of the malt. It, the malt, does not please me all that much.

Mouthfeel is fine.

I'm glad that it's in a 4pack and not a 6pack. It's kinda difficult to drink. Shrugs.

Best enjoyed by 6/3/19. 12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours golden with great clarity and has bubbles racing upwards; creamy white head that slowly falls leaving great thick retention and sticky lacing. The aromas have lots of floral notes along with some hints of citrus. Some caramel and toffee. Some fresh bread and crackers. Malts are there. The flavors basically follow the nose for the most part. More caramel and toffee. Some grapefruit. Some pine and fresh grass. Hints of black pepper. Some spicy hops. Moderate bitterness. Malts do their thing without dominating. Finishes juicy and dry at the same time, but I'm leaning more towards the drier side. Alcohol is ultimately well hidden. Mouthfeel is nice. It's full-bodied with moderate to active carbonation. It's sharp, fluffy, smooth and dangerously drinkable.

This is a pretty solid DIPA. It's not far off from their 471 Double IPA. It's bold, but clean. It's more of an "old school" take on the style, but I'm not saying that in a negative way because it works. The craftsmanship is on point. It's enjoyable and fun to drink. There's something about this one that I really like.
