Pours a slightly hazed gold with 3 fingers of rocky ivory head. Clears up a bit, Stellar head retention & lacing
S: Green melon, breadyness
T: Lime, green melon, Kiwi Fruit & Oranges up front. Grapefruit slips in with Kiwi Fruit & dryness, some grassy bitterness as well once warm. Finishes grassy with pomelo, limes & dryness
MF: Medium body, low carbonation, good balance
Drinks easy, but nothing special

12 oz can, best by 11/14/21, into Roll Out The Barrel mini nonic.
Hazy but not juicy, golden light blonde, with a creamy head of 1 finger, leaving lots of lace as it recedes in spider-like fashion.
Aroma is sharp tart lemon and peppery grapefruit, with a little peach, sulfur, soupy malt mash, and dirty farty yeast.
Flavor is barnyard funk, which surprises me, following sharply and bitterly, with elements of tropical fruits - but somehow completely surgically removing the sweetness from them. Bitter farty persimmon, bitter grapefruit, lemon, pineapple rind - everything pretty much not ripe - then a touch of sweet apricot, rosemary (I hate rosemary) and then a ton, and I mean a ton, of caramel malt creating a cardboard flavor already. I'm really surprised this beer is lightly colored. Tastes like it should be deep amber. The whole profile tastes dirty. It's cardboard-y, bitter, very west coast without the freshness or cleanliness, and has nearly zero sweetness.
Crisply carbonated, mild to moderate heat, light resins and starches.
Overall, not my kind of IPA anyways, but even rating it to style, this one needs work. Maybe the Sultana hop is not a good pairing with my palate (like Sabro or Sorachi Ace). I'd have to have another one to see, but I'm not in a hurry to grab another Sultana beer. This was a rough trial.

Best enjoyed by 11/4/21. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours golden with a subtle haze; fluffy white head that fades leaving nice retention and sticky lacing. The aromas are floral and citric. Some crackers and breads. Malts are there. The flavors basically follow the nose. More citrus coming through, especially grapefruit and lemon. Lots of lemon. More floral notes. Lots of fresh grass. Some pineapple in the mix as well. Mild and subtle hints of caramel. Solid bitterness. Malts do their thing without dominating. Finishes dry. Alcohol basically goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with moderate to active carbonation. It's smooth and easy to drink.
This is a solid IPA. It's on the more classic and traditional side, more or less, but I mean that in a good way. Nice citric flavors. I find it interesting that they call this one a "Tropical IPA", because I'm basically getting all citrus for the most part. Either way, the craftsmanship is on point. Not bad at all. I like it.
