A - Pours a dark brown with garnet edges. 1 finger of off-white head sinks into a descent collar. Produces vertical diamond strips of lacing.

S - Nutty roasted malt, hints of chocolate, toasted whole wheat bread, raspberries, green grassy hops.

t - Roasted barley, earthy hops come through with a nutty middle. Some slightly roasted cocoa, caramelized sugar. Lots of stingy grain running through the beer. A sour dirty bitterness hits toward the end. Finishes dry and grainy.

M - Medium bodied, moderate carbonation.

I was not blown away by this one. The waitress said it was "really" hoppy. ...It wasn't..It was an okay take on the American Brown Ale style. I'd like to see more of this style around.
