This is a very solid porter, and an unusual one in which they stripped out the vanilla from their very well-known base Vanilla Porter beer instead of adding new tastes to it. The result is just that - a classic flavor. I'd have this in a pub for sure. You kind of wondered if they'd ever try to do this stripped-down version of one of their best sellers, and the result was a success.
