My Bottle describes itself in dodgy english as both "Blond beer of top fermentation" and more amusingly "Belgian Beer on it's the best!" which I heartingly agree with whilst been unsure what it means exactly. To the beer itself then... i'm going to pour it now...
Pours a beautiful multi-layered golden amber, this isn't Blond as in peroxide but as in auburn. Head is a relatively large inch and long-lived to boot. Smells to me lightly malty, yeasty even. not sure if nose is untrained to pick up hops or if they are subtle or both.
Taste is very inoffensive (but not in a bad way) I am hesitant to plug for high scores because am inexperienced with the style. Very mild but tasty malts with almost unexpected bitterness at the end which is also subdued. For me at least, hop flavours minimal.
To be repetitive - as again, can't believe how belgian brewers hide those % points behind what to the casual quaff are such mild tasting beers.

served 50f, pours with a small white head, beer is a dark golden color. bottle says bottle-conditioned but no sediment in the bottle. BBD 30/06/07.
The beer has a pleasant malty nose, slightly floral.somehwat sweet.
The taste is initial sweet followed by some disorganized bitterness which dominates into the finish. Compared to the smell this is somewhat underwhelming. The resemblance to Brugse Tripel is recognizable.
Further into the bottle the taste becomes somewhat milder, a pleasant drinkable beer but nothing special at all as far as belgians go... The 6.5% is invisible.
